The Canon PowerShot A is a now discontinued series of digital cameras released by Canon. The A-series started as a budget line of cameras, although over time its feature set varied from low-end point-and-shoot cameras to high-end prosumer cameras capable of rivalling Canon's G-series.

Models[edit]

The series began with the A5 series, which was a very basic point-and-shoot camera line. The Axx series that followed offered full manual control (on most models) in a fairly bulky body. Cakewalk sonar x3 producer edition. The A100/200/3xx/4xx series cameras are stripped-down with very little manual controls. The Axx series has branched off into the A5xx (replaced by the A1xxx series), A6xx, and A7xx series (the latter replaced by the A2xxx series). Software by Breezesys adds remote capture capability from a computer over the USB interface on early Canon PowerShot A models until around 2006. More recent models generally do not support remote capture.

Many models from the A450 to the A720 can run the CHDK firmware add-on adding features such as recording raw image files and remotely triggering the camera shutter using a USB cable.

Open the Program folder under the folder in which ZoomBrowser EX 4 or 5 is installed.
Double-click dbconverter.exe (or dbconverter) within that folder.
Specify the database file that you have been using and click the Start button.
(Ex. C:Program FilesCanonZoomBrowser EXDatabase My Database.zbd)
When a message indicating that the database conversion is complete, click OK.
Restrictions of Database File Conversion:
There are restrictions regarding the folder under the Program Filesfolder. In ZoomBrowser EX 4 or 5, folders under Program Files folderare not displayed. Therefore the images within the Library One folder,which was standard in ZoomBrowser EX 2 or 3, cannot be viewedinZoomBrowser EX 4 or 5.
In order to view images within the Library One folder, please movetheimage files to a location outside of Program Files using tools suchas Windows Explorer.
* Please move the folders after converting the database file.
RAW Image Converter 1.x cannot be started from ZoomBrowser EX 4or5. When conducting RAW image conversion, please either start RAWImageConverter separately or install File Viewer Utility.
There is no longer a TWAIN interface in ZoomBrowser EX 4 or 5. Please use ZoomBrowser EX to download images.
Windows metafiles and FlashPix are no longer supported.
Time Tunnel viewer function has been removed.
360-degree viewer for panoramic images has been eliminated.
The function for displaying the owners name in slideshows has been eliminated.
